Of all of the people who choose to try and make a living by preying on others, I think that those who exploit the faith of the people are some of the worst. There are some people who their faith is all that they have... imagine how they would feel if they discovered that the "man of God" that they were following and giving everything that they could scrape together was just stealing from them?

It reminds me of an old cartoon, which featured an old woman eating out of a dog food can while writing out a letter to a televangelist praising him and sending along her social security check.

Thinking of people exploiting others like that just makes me sick.

I couldn't agree with you more. How horrible to advantage of people but even worse so to use religion as a way of scamming people! These people should be ashamed!  Angry

Unfortunately, it seems like there isn't enough shame left in this world for some of these people. They'd rather get you to feel ashamed, and then offer up their scam as a way to make you feel better (just leaving you broke and feeling even worse once it's all over.)

It bothers me to no end to turn it on a channel and see some so called preacher begging for thousands of dollars in Gods name. That is just not right. God don't need any money. If those preachers want money then i say go get a job like the rest of us.

Praying is saying something to your own self because there is god within each one of us ... what i mean is we do pray and have faith in god .. but till we ourself don't take any steps to go further how can we achieve our Aim ... There is something like "Believe"  and believe in yourself
